We took Shelby to be casted for her brace and she did a really good job. They used plaster and that stuff gets soooooooo hot she was red all over when they took it off and it took forever for her to get cooled down. She did squirm quite a bit but the cast came out good anyway. The orthatist wanted to make sure that we understood that bracing with a child like Shelby would not prevent surgery but might put it off for a bit. I knew that but the way I see it is this. If we can put surgery off for a little while then she might not have to go through so many surgeries in the future.

We still haven't found a place to live but we are still looking high and low. We have been all over union county looking for signs and hoping that something will finally be the right place for the right money.

When we got home yesterday Rod was getting Shelby out of the van and just as he slid the door shut she stuck her foot in the door and now has 9 stitches on the top of her foot. It was a nasty gaping hole and looked like the foot got squeezed so hard that it just kinda exploded. Luckily it went back together well and the scar shouldn't be too bad. The down side is that she can't wear her AFO's until it is healed so that means no PT until it gets better.

I woke up this morning with a severe migraine from all the stress I've been under and I just need a break. If we could find a place to move into I think that would relieve a lot of the stress I am under.
